A picture explains a thousand words.

It can explain emotion, passion and everything in between.

Taking a photo is creating a moment in time that can be looked at over and over again.

Today my sister asked me to take some pictures of her

not only did i find this enjoyable but discovered a new talent.

Below are a few pictures I think turned out really well.

In saying this you should try something new as often as you can, you never know what you will get out of it.

Charm City Cakes

After watching a few episodes of 'Ace of Cakes' on Foxtel's 'Food Channel' 

I have truly been inspired!

This television show showcases the life of a cake maker, designer and as I would say a cake artist 

at Charm City Cakes located in Baltimore, Maryland USA

They also make it look effortless in terms of baking a perfect cake whatever flavour you desire, (they literally will try and create anything your taste buds are aching for), down to the perfect fondant icing and the decoration on top which is all usually 100% eatable. 

I have even seen cakes that light up, spin, glow and that are of human height. 

Not to mention the design, decoration and little features that go into making these cakes so remarkable.

After looking at these pictures it is hard to believe that these are actually made from all things you can eat.

I defiantly couldn't pull off anything like this, but one day I'm going to have a go!

As you can tell countless amounts of hours have gone into each individual cake and it does come at a high price.

According to the website cakes start at a minimum of $1000

although i believe they really are worth it!

So if you want to save some money i recommend having a go at making a spectacular cake of your own, for a special occasion or just for some fun.

And if your visiting Baltimore, Maryland in the USA (which is about a 1 hour drive from Washington DC) have a cake designed to your wildest imagination.

I believe you will remember if for the rest of your life.

If your looking for paradise close to home - I've found the place to go.

Amazing Desserts

Something that I have always been interested in is making amazing and delicious desserts. 

These pictures (thanks to www.taste.com.au) are so incredibly amazing 

it makes me want to pick up a cook book and get baking.

Although desserts can be tricky to put together and usually don't turn out how the picture on the recipe looks.

Dessert cooking classes are a really good idea to make something you love and learn the secrets into making cakes look so good and taste so amazing.

Where ever you are in Australia or around the world, taking a dessert cooking class is always going to be fun, interesting and help you pick up new skills in creating a perfect dessert.
